Whitestone exists because of a gap that should not exist. Below a certain size you are told to squeeze into software built for someone else; above it you are quoted five figures for something built from scratch. Neither is right for a tutor with forty students or a club with two hundred members. So we build the third option: your own platform, on foundations shared with everyone else’s, at a price that makes sense at your size.
Two values run through everything here: legacy and craft. Software for small organizations is usually rented, generic, and disposable. Ours is built, personal, and kept.
The name and the mark
The mark is a cairn: stones stacked by hand to say someone was here, and to show the way for whoever comes next. Stones of remembrance, set so the work outlasts the moment. That is the standard each platform is built to.
